The information we collect from site visitors
We collect general site usage information from users for web analytics purposes. This includes data on page views, unique and new visitors, average time spent on the site, and sections of the site that users visit most frequently. While we do not gather personal details about general site visitors except their geographical location, we do collect some technical information including computer IP addresses, browser type, and connection speeds, in addition to referral sites and search engines from which users may have been directed. We do not use this information to try to contact any visitors to the site.
The information we collect from participants
The information we collect from those who register for the Challenge and those who request more information about it may include: name, gender, grade, e-mail address, and high school contact information.
We use the information provided by registered students and teacher-coaches to contact them regarding contest details and deadlines in order to ensure the smooth administration of the Challenge. Registrants who sign up for e-alerts receive updates, reminders, and alerts via e-mail about new information that has been posted to the site. They also receive a brief, post-Challenge survey about their experience. Participants may opt out of the e-alert mailing list at anytime. We do not use or share any personally-identifiable information for matters unrelated to Moody’s Mega Math (M3) Challenge and its mission.
The names and images of winners of the contest may be published on the site, distributed in press releases (and thereby in local, regional, or national newspapers and/or radio and television outlets), and in the official publication of the contest organizer, SIAM News. Prior consent from parents/guardians of participating students is obtained for these purposes.

We have put in place all physical, electronic, and managerial procedures required to prevent the unauthorized use of data and to maintain the accuracy of information provided to us by users. Please notify us if there are any errors in your personal information, and we will do our best to rectify them immediately.
