Register to Participate

Registration Deadline:
Friday, February 26, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.

Registration is only available online. No other method will be accepted.

Each team must have a teacher-coach from its school complete and submit the online registration form. The teacher-coach is responsible for registering the team correctly and for ensuring that all parts of the registration process are accurate and complete.

Please only press the submit button once. Do not submit duplicate registrations for the same team. A confirmation screen will appear after your registration is submitted.

An email verification notice will be sent to the official team email address within 24 hours of submitting your registration. This will contain your team Identification Number (ID #) and password. Please review your registration for accuracy.

The team ID # and password that is assigned to you at registration is required to download the Challenge problem and upload your team's solution paper. The coach and team are responsible for safeguarding this information. Do NOT share your team ID # or password with anyone, as it provides access to all the data that you have provided for your team.

If you need to amend your submitted information, please use your password and team ID # to sign in and make the changes. An email confirming any changes will be sent to you within 24 hours. No changes will be allowed after 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010.

To guard against the possibility of interruptions in Internet service, school closings due to weather, or any other extraneous situation, we recommend that all teams compete the registration process well in advance of the deadline. M3 Challenge will not accept any late registrations under any circumstances. No exceptions will be made.

Teams submitting viable solution papers will receive certificates of participation. The certificates display the information provided at the time of registration or changed by the deadline and are mailed in team groups to the coach. Certificates will not be re-issued for mistakes made in registration.

Each coach will need the following to complete the online registration form:

• High school name, full address, phone number
• Teacher-Coach's email address and a back-up email address
• Minimum of three students, maximum of five, all from the same school
• Full names of all students on the team
• Each student's email address
• The team's chosen Challenge day (Saturday, March 6, 2010 or Sunday, March 7, 2010)

The coach is also responsible for completing and returning three documents, two of which must be received at M3 Challenge headquarters before Challenge weekend and the third during the week after Challenge weekend. Failure to submit completed forms will result in disqualification. Note that on the form deadline days, fax congestion can be expected, particularly between noon and 5:00 p.m. Therefore it is recommended that you submit your forms as soon as possible after registering.   The coach and all team members must read and sign this form and submit via fax, mail, or email scanned document no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010.

  Each student team member must complete this form and submit via fax, mail, or email scanned document no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010.
  
  
• Authenticity Certification Form [16K PDF]
  The coach and students from each team are required to fill out this form after submitting their final solution paper to verify the authenticity of their work. This form is due at M3 Challenge headquarters on or before Friday, March 12, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
