Coaches' Guidelines

1. The team coach is responsible for selecting the team, submitting the registration, communicating the contest rules and guidelines to the team, receiving all contest communications including and especially the team ID # and password, and preparing the team for the Challenge.
2. 2. A teacher guide with sample problems will be mailed to teachers and posted on the website. Additional sample problems will also be available on the M³ Challenge website. It is the coach's responsibility to prepare the team using any resources available.
3. M³ Challenge Day: Once the problem has been downloaded, coaches may not assist or be in contact with any team member regarding the Challenge until the Challenge is over. Students must troubleshoot problems on their own. Failure to adhere to this requirement is grounds for disqualification.
4. Coaches are not required to be physically with or near the team on Challenge Day.
