MathWorks MATLAB Onramp Week, August 2-4 2021

MathWorks MATLAB Onramp Week, August 2-4 2021

EXPLORE USING MATLAB TO ANALYZE, VISUALIZE, AND SOLVE MODELING PROBLEMS.

July 29, 2021

MathWorks Math Modeling (M3) Challenge invites you to attend the MATLAB Onramp Summer Sessions. You will walk through the essentials of MATLAB in a two-hour introductory tutorial that can be completed independently, but the sessions offer interactive MATLAB training and guidance. This free course is open to teachers and students, and especially focused on the sixth form level.

Participants can sign in or create a new free MathWorks account here: https://www.mathworks.com/login.

Then access MATLAB Onramp via your account.

Program Overview
MATLAB® is a programming language that allows you to analyze data, develop algorithms, and create models in an easy-to-use desktop environment. Learn the basics of MATLAB through this two-hour introductory tutorial on commonly used features and workflows. Learn how to use MATLAB for math modeling in M3 Challenge.

Key topics include:

  • Navigating MATLAB desktop and Editor
  • Working with variables in MATLAB
  • Array Calculations- Indexing into & modifying arrays
  • Using MATLAB functions
  • Visualizing variables using MATLAB’s plotting functions
  • Importing data from different files into MATLAB
  • Creating informative data visualizations
  • Automating analysis with scripts and programming constructs
  • Bring together concepts that you have learned with a project

MathWorks Math Modeling (M3) Challenge is a program of Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
